Job Description

Regional Sales Manager driving growth for 3M's Personal Safety Division in the Southcentral Region. Leading a team and collaborating with C-suite customers for strategic impacts and relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team to realize our mission of helping people return home at the end of the day safely to their families
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the health and safety leaders at our customers
  • Building the strategy and operational plans to deliver growth of PSD segments and portfolios within the Southcentral Region
  • Building C-suite relationships with our customers
  • Directing, coaching/mentoring, and developing the team to maximize selling skills, strategic business acumen, and territory productivity
  • Creating a plan that will enable enhanced relationships and growth with customers located in the Southcentral Region
  • Overseeing, driving, and managing the successful execution of business strategies
  • Managing the profitable growth of end-user customers sales revenue and market share
  • Identifying and executing opportunities for deeper collaboration with PSD cross-functional team members
  • Work collaboratively with the General Industrial Channel Sales Team to train Distribution Sales Specialists and cross-functional 3M Sales Team based on business unit requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of sales, distributor, and/or marketing experience in a private, government or military environment
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications from an accredited institution (preferred)
  • Seven (7) years of field sales experience in a private, government or military environment (preferred)
  • Strong experience with profession field sales selling (preferred)
  • Professional sales experience selling through distributor partners (preferred)
  • Proven track record of leading high performing selling teams and delivering results (preferred)
  • Strong business development skills (preferred)
  • Coaching and performance management experience (preferred)
  • Salesforce and territory management experience (preferred)
  • Sales Management experience (preferred)
  • Safety Certifications (preferred)
